OL Reign is ana american professional women’s soccer team based in seattle, washington. Founded by Bill and teresa predmore in 2012 a seattle reign Fc, it was one of eight inaugural members of the national women’s soccer league(NWSL) In 2020 OL group, the parent company of french clubs olympique Lyonnais and Olympique Lyonnais Feminin became the team’s majority owner and rebranded to its current name, badge and colors. Laura Harvey is the team’s head coach: she led the team to two consecutive NWSL shield wins in 2014 and 2015 and a third in 2022.
OL Reign has played its home matches ata lumen field since 2022. The team previously played at starfire sports complex in tukwila 2013 at memorial stadium and at cheney stadium in Tacoma

This is also the team’s last regular season home match of 2023. The club is celebrating the illustrious career of legend Megan Rapinoe and the crowd will not only break club records, but league records as well.

Match Forecast: OL Reign Ready for Big Match Against the Spirit in Front of Record-Breaking Crowd
Dickey was also called into action in the 89th minute when Dorian Bailey squared up for a shot from deep. The keeper punched it over the cross bar.

OL Reign settle for goalless draw in Megan Rapinoe’s final regular-season home match
Reign city Riot band and others throughout the lumen field crowd friday wore cotton-candy pink wigs in honor of the forwars. The U.S. Women’s national team star dyed her hair before a historic 2019 FIFA women’s world cup run in France and it evolved to the color as the tournament played out. The americans won the title while Rapinoe won the golden ball and golden boot.
There were colorful card stunts, video tributes and tears. But when it came to the actula soccer-with a playoff berth up for grabs- the Reign struggled in the final third against the washington spirit. The sides ended in a goalles draw.
The Reign received help to hold on to the sixth and final playoff spot. Racing Louisville had a 3-2 comeback win against the orlando pride in friday earlier game. The pride are below the line with 28 points while racing in eight with 27 points.
Spirit striker Trinity Rodman tried to ruin the cermony in the 52nd minute and second half stoppage time. The first attempt in the box had to tipped over the cross bar by Reign keeper claudia dickey. The low shot in stoppage time had to be tipped away by dickey to preserve the clean sheet.
